Maple Citrus Salmon

As part of my epic weekend home eating maple goods, my mom cooked up these delicious salmon steaks.  If you celebrate Lent, I recommend making them this Friday.

Maple Citrus Salmon
1/3 c. maple syrup
1/3 c. orange juice
1/3 c. rice vinegar
1 Tbsp. fresh ginger, grated
1 clove garlic, grated
6 4oz. salmon steaks

Cook all ingredients down to about half.  Grill salmon for about 5 minutes on each side, brushing each side with sauce.  Devour.

  2. Boy that sounds good. Love the rice vinegar and ginger.

  3. The trees should be as faithful as your blogging .Too darned cold for any sap to flow in our blizzard-ish weather. Another 6 inches of snow today. Sugar snow? Let’s hope.

    • Hmmm, if the trees take a break, I might too! It’s a good thing I stocked up on syrup this week or I’d be sunk since I’ve only got half a cup left in my bottle right now!
